The information on this page, and the documents referred to throughout, outline the terms and conditions by which Tides Online will supply our online learning and development courses, associated information and services to support those, referred to as the ‘course’ or ‘courses’ listed on our website at https://www.tidesonline.co.uk, and http://www.thebestyoucanbe.co.uk and referred to as the “website”.
Please read our terms and conditions carefully before placing a request to subscribe to any of our courses and do feel free to contact us if you need any clarification on any points.
Our website provides all the information and content of the courses and supportive services offered by Tides Online. All the courses listed and promoted on our website are provided exclusively by Tides Online.
Enrolment is at our discretion, and as such, we reserve the right to refuse enrolment on any of the courses we offer.

For the purposes of these terms:
- ‘We’ and ‘us’ means Tides Online who will provide the services to you.
- ‘You’ means the person, learner or student receiving the services.
- ‘Course’ means an online distance learning course, out learning and development materials, or course designed and developed by us including all revisions and updates to such course as we may make from time to time.
- ‘Course Materials’ refers to the digital and physical materials relating to any one course, together with any and all revisions or updates made by us from at any time.
3. ACCESS TO OUR SERVICE
Our website is available to all free of charge.
Our Online Learning Area (OLA) houses our learning and development materials and is available to current learners or students, who have paid for their access to the materials. We cannot guarantee that our sites, or any functionality within them, will always be uninterrupted, or available.
Access to the OLA is granted on a temporary basis and can be withdrawn if there is any breach of the terms and conditions including payment.
4. REGISTRATION, PASSWORDS & SECURITY
Registration details; When registering your details on any part of our website, you must ensure that the details you provide are complete and correct to ensure that we maintain accurate information about you, also informing us of any changes so that we can update your details to provide the highest level of service.
Password security; If you register and enrol on a course with us, you will be given a unique membership number and will be asked to create a username and password. Your password is confidential, and you must not disclose or share it with anyone. If you know, or suspect, that someone else knows your password, you should notify us by contacting firstname.lastname@example.org quoting your membership number.
Security; If we have reason to believe that there is misuse of your account or access to the website, we reserve the right to request that you change your password or suspend your account whilst any matters are resolved.
5. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
We affirm that the course materials will meet a satisfactory level of quality; however, we do not affirm that they will always be error free.
We do not make any commitment that the content of the courses will meet any specific requirements that you may have and encourage you to practice reasonable care when selecting a course, or courses, so that it meets your needs.
We do not make any commitment to you that you will obtain any qualification from your membership and access to the courses.
We are not qualified to provide you with advice regarding physical or mental health problems, and recommend you seek the opinion of your doctor or any other medical practitioner should you need advice. Any holistic health care advice we provide through our courses and articles should be treated as complementary to, and not as an alternative to traditional health care.
Our courses undergo regular redevelopment and updating to maintain currency and reduce the risk of errors. While we make every effort to ensure that information in relation to our courses is accurate, this may mean that occasionally, the course content may vary from that listed in the information and syllabus.
You are responsible for inspecting the course materials and informing us about any oversights as soon as is reasonably possible following delivery.
Upon purchasing access to a course, the period of access will be 12 months. If the course is not completed within that time, you will need to apply for an extension which may incur a reactivation fee. After the 12 month access period, you will no longer have access to courses but will still be able to visit the other areas for the website and receive newsletters, unless you request otherwise.
6. INFORMATION AND STATUS
We provide information and articles on our website and these are provided for general information, entertainment and inspiration. We make no representations or guarantees, whether expressed or implied, that this content is accurate or current.
By enrolling on your chosen course, you are confirming that you have received enough information and are satisfied that the course you have chosen, is suitable for your needs and abilities, and that you are:
- at least 18 years old
- capable of entering into a legally binding contract
Please note that our courses are in English and are designed for adult learners.
7. COURSE MATERIALS, COPYRIGHT & INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS
The digital materials always remain the property of Tides Online . All copyright and intellectual property rights relating to all materials we supply as part of courses are owned by us. Copying, adaptation or any other use of all or any part of it without our express permission is strictly prohibited.
You may print off one copy, and may download extracts, of any page(s) from our sites for your personal use, however, you must not modify the paper or digital copies of any materials you have printed off or downloaded in any way, and you must not use any illustrations, photographs, video or audio sequences or any graphics out of the original context.
Once you have access to the materials, please inform us regarding any defects or errors.
8. TRANSFERRING COURSES
To request a transfer to another course, you must send an email to email@example.com outlining your reasons and we will consider all requests on an individual basis. Please note, that transferring to another course will be at our sole discretion.
9. MEMBERSHIP POLICY
We reserve the right to refuse membership or access to any of the courses we offer. Access to courses are achieved by purchasing a membership to said course.
As per the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, some items fall outside of the usual returns policy, and refunds cannot be offered for online digital or downloadable items once activated. Therefore, we do not issue refunds.
In line with The Consumer Rights Act 2015, you do have a 14 day right to change your mind and get a full refund for digital content, i.e. Online courses, that you have purchased, unless you have already started to download it or completed any of the quizzes.
As a result, we have no legal obligation to refund purchase or membership fees under any circumstances. however, if the repayment of a membership is approved, in most circumstances we will refund any money received from you using the same method originally used to pay for your purchase.
10. PRICE AND PAYMENT
The subscription to any course will be as quoted by us or on our website, except in cases of obvious error. The prices on our website include VAT.
Prices may be liable to change at any time. Special offer discounts are only available at the time of ordering and cannot be backdated.
There may be occasion when some of the courses listed on our website may be incorrectly priced. We will normally verify prices as part of our receipt and enrolment process, where a course’s correct price is less than the stated price; we will charge the lower amount when enrolling you on the course.
Subscription payment for membership to courses must be by credit, debit card or Direct Debit

11. COURSE ASSISTANCE
All courses advertised on this website are provided by approved Tides Online. If you require any assistance in relation to your course, you should in the first instance contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
12. EVENTS OUTSIDE OUR CONTROL
We will not be liable or responsible for any failure to perform, or delay in performance of, any of our obligations to provide the courses, course materials or this website that is caused by events outside our reasonable control e.g. power outages.
13. OUR RIGHT TO VARY THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS
We have the right to revise and amend these terms and conditions from time to time. Any such changes or amendments will be published on our websites.
14. CUSTOMER QUERIES AND COMPLAINTS
Here at Tides Online, we thrive on feedback and welcome positive feedback, as well as suggestions for improvement so please tell us what you think!
We aim to respond swiftly and fairly and resolve any problems, concerns and complaints as quickly and as possible, after all, if there is a problem, we need to fix it for you.
If you need to complain, please contact us as per the About Us & Contact Us in section 1.
We will approach each complaint as follows:
STAGE 1: Please advise Tides Online via email@example.com of your query or complaint. If it’s complicated it may take up to 5 days to gather the information and we will contact you via the phone or email with a resolution. If you are not happy with that outcome, please proceed to Stage 2.
STAGE 2: You need to contact firstname.lastname@example.org requesting that your complaint or query is escalated. It will then be investigated more fully, by a senior member of the team and a resolution will be advised to you via email within 7 working days. If you are still unhappy with the outcome, please proceed to Stage 3.
STAGE 3: Contact email@example.com and request a Stage 3 investigation. This will then be escalated to a director who will respond within 14 working days although this may be longer over public holidays and Christmas/New Year.
